About Hawkline

Hawkline builds FieldLine, a tethered aerial broadcast platform designed specifically for high school football programs and athletic departments that want dynamic overhead coverage comparable to Saturday and Sunday broadcasts.

FieldLine delivers production-ready overhead and follow the play video with capability packages tailored to your needs. From FieldLine Vantage for reliable full field coverage to FieldLine Vista Pro for cinematic broadcast quality.

We’re currently onboarding pilot partners for the 2026 season, with tailored contracts for both individual programs and school districts.

Safety by Design

FieldLine was designed from the ground up to operate in real athletic environments where athletes, coaches, and spectators are present. Safety is not an afterthought, it is a foundational requirement of the platform.

The FieldLine system combines multiple layers of protection to ensure safe and reliable operation. A tethered architecture physically constrains the aircraft while providing continuous power and fiber-optic video transmission. Redundant flight systems maintain stability even in the event of a component failure, and automated safety procedures ensure controlled behavior under abnormal conditions.

In addition to the platform itself, Hawkline operates with standardized deployment procedures, trained operators, and defined safety zones during operation.

These combined measures create a system designed specifically for the realities of sports environments, where reliability, predictability, and trust are essential.

Multiple ways to catch every angle

Our aerial platform’s ability to navigate freely across the entire field allows for a variety of strategies to enhance filming benefits. Operating similarly to Skycam used by professional and top college football programs, the platform can position itself along the sidelines or directly across the end zone to enhance replay capabilities. It can capture the entire field of play, or zoom in and follow the ball carrier. Although the system is tethered, it is not confined to a single viewpoint like existing solutions.

All-22 Mode
The platform is positioned at the rear of the offense, centrally located on the field, and maintains this position throughout the duration of the play. The platform resets after the ball is spotted before the next play. This setup ensures all 22 players on the field are kept in frame making it ideal for post-game analysis.

PlayViewTM
Leveraging advanced machine vision and automated flight pathing, the platform tracks the play as it unfolds, ensuring the ball carrier remains centered in the frame.

Expanding the Aerial Perspective in Sports

Hawkline is working with select leagues and organizations to demonstrate how aerial capture can enhance both coaching insight and fan experience across a wide range of field sports.

While traditional camera systems capture the game from the sidelines, the FieldLine aerial platform reveals the spatial dynamics of the field, showing how formations develop, how spacing changes during a play, and how athletes move across the entire field.

These early deployments allow Hawkline to validate the system in real athletic environments while showcasing how aerial perspectives can elevate broadcasts, game analysis, and digital content.

As adoption grows, the FieldLine platform has the potential to expand across multiple sports and competitive levels, bringing a perspective previously limited to major professional stadiums into many more arenas.

FAQ

FieldLine delivers a continuous overhead perspective and automated play-aware framing that static sideline and end zone cameras can’t provide. It’s designed to integrate with your existing broadcast workflows and complements coaching platforms like Hudl,  it does not replace them.

Each FieldLine tier adds capability:

  • Vantage: Reliable overhead footage ready for broadcast, and great for analytics
  • Vantage Pro: Automated PlayView tracking and smoother framing
  • Vista Pro: MotionFlow cinematic mode and premium camera quality

All current FieldLine contracts are Hawkline-operated. This ensures consistent execution and compliance with FAA and venue requirements.

(Self-operated options will be offered in the future but are not currently available.)

Hawkline's systems tackle safety in two ways. The first is the system has been engineered with numerous safety features, and redundancy. Secondly the procedures for operating the systems have been designed with safety as a primary focus. Additionally the engineering and operations plans have been designed specifically to meet all current FAA regulations for operation.
